熊海灵，中共党员，博士，教授，博士生导师，美国加州大学访问学者。现任菠菜老平台集合网党委书记，学校第四届学术委员会委员，重庆市农田建设专家库成员，国家自然科学基金项目评审专家，国家留学基金委项目评审专家，科技部创新方法培训专家。主要研究领域为数据库与智能信息处理，元胞自动机理论及其应用，农业信息化与数字农业、农业生态与环境过程计算机模拟。
给本科生主讲《C语言程序设计》、《面向对象程序设计》、《数据结构》、《算法设计与分析》。给研究生主讲《计算机模拟及其程序设计》，《系统化创新过程与方法》。主编国家级规划教材1本。主持重庆市研究生教改重点项目1项，主持重庆市教育教学改革重大项目1项。
获菠菜老平台集合网教学成果奖一等奖1项，二等奖1项。获重庆市优秀团干部、菠菜老平台集合网优秀党员、优秀教师、名师奖等称号。指导研究生获全国数学建模一等奖2次。
